The longer the more attractive?

Posted by dawn On April - 25 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

How do you define if a guy is more attractive? A recent study have shown that you should look down.

The longer it is, the more attractive a woman will find a man.

Yes look DOWN. At his ring finger *tsk. what were you thinking?*

A recent study by have found that, the longer a man’s ring finger in comparison to his index finger, the more attractive he is in women’s eyes. The right hand is said to be the reliable indicator.

The results published by the British Royal Society’s journal Biological Sciences showed links between foetal exposure of males to hormones and development of certain physical trait that are attractive to the opposite sex. The more testosterone a fetus is exposed to the longer the ring finger grows.

So basically, the longer your fourth finger is in comparison to your index finger, the hotter you are.

Do you have a SHORTER ring finger? Yes?

I SAY, FRET NOT for you guys with same length or shorter ring than index finger!

This is because, research have ALSO shown that…

With higher testosterone levels, which likewise means longer ring to index finger, the higher the chances of the development of prostrate cancer.

According to the study, chances of developing prostrate cancer drop by a third in men whose index finger is longer than the ring finger.

C’mon now don’t complain to your mom why you have a shorter ring! Just be glad you have five perfect fingers! :)

Have a great week ahead peeps!

Font to Help Save the Environment

I read this interesting news sometime ago in one of the Reader’s Digest issue.

Want to save some ink? Want to save some money?

The Century Gothic font is the way to go. Not only is it pleasing to the eyes, it helps you save ink.

Research by the University of Winconsin-Green Bay has shown that printing out documents in Century Gothic rather than Arial, uses 30% less ink!!!

However, due to the wider font size, it may end up using more paper. But it’s not all sad news because with the Century Gothic easy to read font, you can reduce the size of the font and keep paper usage to the minimal.

Let’s go green MATE! :) By the way, I have been changing my font to Century Gothic whenever I print something.

Malaysian zoo to offer night-vision goggles

Posted by dawn On April - 16 - 2011ADD COMMENTS

We all have memories of going to the zoo. Whether it is a school trip or a family trip.

For me, I have been to our own zoo in Malaysia at a very young age and later visited the Singapore and Australia zoo.

I never gave much thought about going to the zoo though I enjoyed my visits.

However, the boyfriend is passionate about the animals in the zoo. So two years back we actually went with uncles, aunties, kids and my brother tagging along and recently, we are considering going to the zoo again. Just for fun.

And when I stumbled upon this news that the zoo is planning to offer night-vision goggles to guests the see animals after dark, I am curious and hope we can visit soon :)

Here is the article I saw in the online Travel Trade Daily magazine:

Malaysia’s Zoo Negara is planning to offer visitors night-vision goggles to see animals after dark.

Bernama reported the zoo’s Director, Dr Mohamad Ngah as saying that the scheme will be launched following demand

from visitors who want to view the animals at night. The attraction’s lighting system isn’t good enough to offer clear views of the animals, so the idea of night-vision goggles was conceived.

“The goggles allow visitors to move around in darkness and observe the antics of the wildlife at night without the need of light, as before,” Dr Ngah told Bernama, adding that the idea the idea “from watching American war movies”.

It seems really interesting. Always seen what they do in the day. Can’t wait to see how the animals are like at night.

Well well…since it would be in the dark, do remember your mosquito repellent if you are planning your next zoo trip!

*sings – let’s go to the zoo and bring a friend or two!* =)

What’s your favourite animal in the zoo?

I still can’t decide if mine is a tiger…

I love to watch them go in the water

Or is my favourite…the lion? i love how calm they appear to be. But when they RRRROOOAR! whOA!

But one thing’s for sure. I always love watching the flamingoes…

I find their graceful manner captivating…

and one leg up…I wonder why. LOL!
