For a change, we decided to get a different (different brand that is) cake this year and IT was yummy…=) Oh not to mention it’s very reasonably priced. OK. It’s cheap if you compare to Secret Recipe (our cake choice for the past say don’t know how many years).

MY birthday cake! :) HAHA. No. It was mum’s birthday cake =) I don’t mind it for my birthday too. hehe.

While waiting for mum, we do what we do best WITH her cake :)

Not looking anywhere near 54. Wonder if I’d get that part of the good gene too :p

I wonder why we blow AFTER making the wish. Doesn’t it blow the wish away? haha. Or perhaps it gets blown to the heavens??? :p

The TEETH family :)

Lim sisters headed to Rootz soon after the ‘party’ ended :)

Went to Gardens to do some shopping before meeting Bea to do more shopping.

While she was trying what she calls ‘a cheapass dress’:

Sorry I had to. It’s my talent (One of it ;) haha.)

It was a super great night with the sisters. I think it didn’t even matter what I was eating.

Went to delicious

…and shared these:

Love the pasta. Not so crazy bout the salad though. Didn’t like the taste of lemongrass.

Lot’s of snapping. Laughs and giggles. I notice we laugh at a lot of things. haha.

I present you some pictures with lots of TEETH:

My mouth was full but I had to share the limelight :p

With our drinks :)

Che, it matches your blouse colour =)

I look like a smaller version of my sis. Smaller by 2mm.

showing me her awesome phone cam :)

This pic is so COOL. It looks like you are having breakfast on a summer’s day in ‘somewhere not Malaysia’

Or Darlie sisters???

Signing off…with a smile and Starbucks :)

Failures Lead to Success

Posted by dawn On January - 22 - 20104 COMMENTS

Failures leads to success. How many times have we heard this? So many motivational talks touches on this topic. It could be a life of a successful tycoon, a talk on goals setting or how to be a good leader. Whatever seminar or workshop you attend, there’ll be this topic.

I have heard it so many times. There’re even books written on failing such as Dare To Fail. I have known all along, ever since I started attending workshops and seminars, that failures leads to success (coz they all said it). Hence, my ability to always look at things at the bright side. People ask where I got all my positivity from. From knowing that failure leads to success. And also for being a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.

I knew. Yes. I practice what I know. Yes. But I never really knew or realized what it really meant until recently. Now I understand what it truly means. I was blinded. Blinded by my passion. Dance. Blinded by my dream. Dancer. Blinded by memories. Blinded by ‘what if I still can’. Blinded that I didn’t want to know what else I have to offer. But the world ain’t waiting for me.

I have done things I love. I have done many things I do not. I have done things I have no feelings whatsoever towards. Just for the sake of it. But I realize each thing that fails to fulfill my life only leads me to find my new unfound passion. I’m a little girl. Searching. Exploring. The different colours the paints can create on my drawing board. My world. Each wrong mixture of colours will let me know what I should not mix the next time.

I realized this but my visit to the bookstore confirms my ‘realization’. I was flipping through a book by John C. Maxwell, the leadership expert and a few sentences on the page I opened struck me. It goes something like that:

Now I know the road that I do not have to travel again,

The mountain I do not need to climb again,

And the valley I never have to cross again…

Embracing failures as a blessing in disguise is exactly what I intend to do. Not just this year but for the many years, days and every moment I have on this earth.
