thanks!My mum doesn’t like to be disturbed when she’s watching her favourite Hokkien TV dramas. Who likes anyway? We all don’t like to be disturbed when watching our favourite show. I don’t like to be disturbed while watching Ugly Betty. Unless of course somebody call to tell me I’ve won a million bucks. Oh but that won’t do too coz it’d just be another scam.
Mum went to her room to watch her dramas (coz the downstairs TV decided to take a rest forever since it has been exploited for its entire life) as I brought my laundry down to wash. Just after 5 minutes, when I just stepped into my to read while waiting for my clothes, the phone rang. Well, on normal circumstances, I won’t pick it up coz it’s ALWAYS for mum and she’ll pick it up. But since she’s watching her show, I decided to go pick up and of course take the message so mum can call her back.
Me: Hello?
Caller: Hello…..*pause* (In my mind: what the hell hurry up I don’t have all day) Urm…is mummy home?
Me: Yes, who’s this on the line (obviously I wanna know so I can tell mum and not disturb her watching her show)
Caller: Er…er….I’m Zachary’s friend’s mum. (Zachary is my bro)
Oh so looks like my bro has only got ONE friend and YOU are that ONE friend’s mum. –______- *sweats*
So since I won’t be able to tell what her name is I had to call for my mum.
Me: Ma, Zachary’s FRIEND’S mum on the phone.
Mum: *grumbles* haiya…the show so ‘kan cheong’ (translate: exciting)

I’m officially changing my name to Dawn’s Friend. You can call me DF for short.
