To all of you who sing your hearts out, probably your lungs and abdomens out in karaoke’s, here are some interesting information you might like to know. I got this karaoke history from Reader’s Digest’s January 2009 issue. The inventor Daisuke Inoue is born in Osaka, Japan in 1940 and build his first karaoke machine in 1969. The little box machine was called 8-Juke officially. Unfortunately, the inventor himself today, isn’t the one making money as he did not think putting together an eight-track tape player, a miniature guitar amplifier and a coin box was an invention. The karaoke craze began to spread across Asia, the US and Europe in the 90s. Interestingly, the inventor only sang on karaoke machine in public for the first time in 1999. Wow…that’s like 30 years after he invented it.
Actually this post is for me to post up some pics from THE karaoke with my sis and her colleagues. I call it THE karaoke because it was then that my sis gave me her virus. haha. So yea…here are some pics:
