Christmas Party 2008: Back to the Corny 60′s

Posted by dawn On January - 14 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

Ok I just noticed that my past two entries have been ‘boring’. Coz there are no visual stimulation. hehe. So I’m gonna fill this entry up with more pics from my christmas celebration with my colleagues. As the title suggests, it’s dressing up back to the sixties. So put on my mum’s dress and pick up a few accessories and I was all set to rock n roll!

Enjoy the pics!

When I find out how to insert a video with the dancing king, I might post one up :)

Overall had a super fantastic time with all my buddies who work hard and play harder:

Hope all of you had a wonderful celebration too! =) mwah…

I’ve been working working working that’s is why I haven’t been updating coz I was busy busy busy. So a little update with work, I have been working with fantastic people in a fantastic environment. But now I have quit due to certain reasons. Well, there are alot of memories as for the past two months I’d say I spent most of it with this group of people I work with. All the time spent together good and bad I will cherish as the good will always be with me and the bad I learn from it. Basically, I’d say this two months have been an eye opener for me. As I met a lot of people and speak to so many in this two months that I don’t think I ever spoke to so many people my whole entire life. So there are a few things that I learn talking to so many people. Here goes:

I found that majority of people are usually nice and those that are not are usually idiots or they just had a bad day.

I learned to take control of my day and no one can spoil my day unless I let them; which further supports my belief that happiness is a choice.

I learned that when people are rude and u r still nice to them, whether u know it or not, it makes them feel like shit.

I learned that even strangers care. And people help when you ask NICELY.

I learned respect is really earned.

I learned that leading by example is one of the ways that leads to success.

I learned that being around positive thinking people makes the environment healthy.

I learned that making friends and being close does not deter efficiency of working together.

I learned that being ethical helps gain trust and respect.

I learned to live by the saying do what you want others to do unto u.

Um…so basically that’s the few important things I learned and wish to share.

Everywhere I go and everything I do I make sure I learn from it. And living up to my uni’s motto: Ancora Imparo which means I am still learning…I believe in continuous learning all the days of my life. What is life without learning? To me it’d definitely be boring.

Oh well, so here I am blogging again coz there’s no need to sleep to early to wake up for work. Time to look for a job and at the mean time, something interesting is coming along. If it works out I’ll blog bout it =) Hope in one way or another, u learn something reading this entry too! :)
