the ‘no name’ project

Posted by dawn On March - 10 - 20102 COMMENTS

Some of you know. Some of you have not a clue.

Some of you know and are waiting.

Some, know and can’t wait.

Some try to dig it out in anyway possible. You know who you are.

After months of thought. Weeks of planning. Days of research.

Finally it is ready!

My blog has always been centred around my life, my passion. Which of course include all the things and people I love. Oh yes…food too :p

Now I have made one of it official. Check it out here! =)

One Year Later

Posted by dawn On March - 8 - 20101 COMMENT

Sometimes we make friends. In places we never expect to.

Sometimes within a short time you never knew if it would last.

Sometimes it just does.

I have a bad record of keeping in touch. Thus, it took me one year later for me to meet this dear friend…again…

Our short encounter as buddies at work has blossomed into friendship that would last regardless of the years.

Sometimes when I haven’t met someone for a while, I wonder ‘Would I have anything to say?’, ‘Would she have anything to say?’ ‘What if there’s nothing to say?’.

When I saw her walking my direction. I can’t stop grinning. Yea I have passersby as witnesses coz they saw my grin so wide they thought I was crazy.

And as that grin subsided into a smile, so did those questions fade away into another land, we became automatic chatterboxes. HAHA!

Few days before we met was her birthday. And I didn’t know. Well, something I will remember in the years to come. I’m bad with birthdays. I don’t remember my friend’s birthdays and I don’t expect them to remember mine :p But I’ll make an effort to remember now…Hmm…How lucky to have friends who still bother to meet me. Happy belated birthday ;) By the way, Melissa, our tops…um…same colour. HAHA.

Inside that is a huge piece of HER birthday cake =)

She went like ‘Nah, for you’

I’m like ‘Er…what’s that?’

She: My birthday cake

Me: *uh oh…* blanks* er…

She: Few days ago was my birthday.

Me: er…ok. *giggles* thanks.

HAHAHA! Tak tau malu. I know. haha.

~~~~~
A bit about our day out or it’s more like night out:
Went to dinner at Rak Thai. Um…don’t think I’ll go there again. The waitress spoke like a ‘tikus’. So soft. And when we asked for the bill, they charged everything and missed out my bowl of main course. :S
Then we went to um…don’t know what’s the name of that place. Somewhere opposite Rak Thai for some Nyonya delights. The ‘kuih’ was great but apparently sour plum juice is actually the normal coffee shop’s ‘Kat Cai Chuen Mui’ (the green lime drink with a sour plum inside). Oh and here we saw a real ‘TIKUS’. The rat was so fat it looks like…two guinea pigs combined.
How disgusting. I only expect rats in places by the road or drain. NOt in a mall.
~~~~~

A great day overall because of the COMPANY :) I’ll see you again. This time, NOT one year later :p

The meaning of excitement

Posted by dawn On February - 9 - 20105 COMMENTS

We all have felt excitement at one point or another in our lives. Some of us might have lost it through being in this sometimes cruel world. But excitement has it’s meaning. Especially when it comes to what we want to do with our life. Our purposes. Our goals. Our dreams.

When you are excited about something you wanna do with your life. You are on the right path. If you loose that excitement, it is time to ponder on ‘what’s next?’.

Excitement is when you do not dread working on it on weekends.

Excitement is when you choose to work on it till late at night.

Excitement is when you think about it day and night.

Excitement is thinking bout it first thing you wake up…or perhaps second.

Excitement is doing it anyway.

Excitement is fearless.

Excitement is FAITH in God.

Excitement is taking chances.

Excitement is chasing something small with the intention to make it big.

Excitement is doing something you would actually do for free but it’s the extra rush when you find ways to have a return from it.

Excitement is always ready.

Excitement is NOW is the right time.

Excitement IS when we take life into our own hands.

I’ve been contemplating and planning for months. And finally the excitement has brought me closer. So much closer. It may succeed it may not but…EXCITEMENT IS to TAKE ACTION.

How would you die?

Posted by dawn On February - 1 - 201015 COMMENTS

How would you die?  I was asking my sisters over dinner the other day. If you HAD to choose, ONE way from the three below.

Would you rather burn to death in a fire:

Drown in the chilly waters:

Or freeze to death in the cold:

I’ve chosen one. IF I ever HAD to die in one of these ways. What’s yours? Let me know =) I’m just curious.
